If you’re reading this, you probably know the story behind the genesis of 4th Door Media & Entertainment.
Chet Roberts, one of the former guitarists for the band 3 Doors Down, was at a crossroads when the band came to an end following the untimely and heartbreaking passing of its lead singer, Brad Arnold.
The 4th Door represents Chet’s “next door” beyond 3 Doors.
But make no mistake—the 4th Door represents so much more than Chet or any of us who work with him.
It’s about YOU.
Maybe you’ve gone through a breakup, had a job go sideways, dealt with a family member who just won’t play along, experienced a death in the family, received an unfortunate diagnosis, or faced any other life-altering event that has stopped you in your tracks.
Maybe one door after another just keeps closing in your face.
Life happens.
That’s where our brand comes in.
The patriotic logo on the shirt below says “#4.”
But what it really says is:
I’m ready to turn the page.
I’m moving on.
I’m going to kick the next door down and get on with my life.
That’s what the 4th Door is all about.
It’s about acknowledging the hurdles in front of you and jumping over them.
It’s a statement to the world that you aren’t stopping.
You aren’t giving up.
To borrow a word that I produced an entire series about for Amazon Prime, it tells both you and the world that you’re UNBREAKABLE.
The 4 and the U (in Unbreakable) should be interchangeable.
In fact, maybe we should create a shirt or hat that simply says, “4U.”
Our goal isn’t just to sell swag. Do we appreciate every one of you who has supported our efforts by visiting our Spotify shop (https://fourth-door-media-and-entertainment-2.myshopify.com/products/old-fashioned-speakeasy-4dme-happy-hour-tee-limited-edition?variant=43870285004878) and purchasing one of the shirts you see below?
Absolutely.
We’re incredibly grateful for all of you.
But we want to make one thing perfectly clear:
Our swag is your swag.
We hope that when you put on a Bloody Mary “Breakfast in a Glass” or an “Anyhow” shirt that it makes you smile.
Your shoulders relax.
You just feel better.
And if you wear the #4, you walk with a little more pep in your step, feel some of the pressure dissipate, and embrace your next pursuits with confidence and fearlessness.
We all know that we feel different depending on what we wear.
The clothes we wear can not only make us feel better, it also tells the world who we are and how we feel about where we’re going.
If something’s not working for ya, let’s brush it off and get back on track.
Let’s bring a little of that weekend energy to the first part of your week.
To borrow a popular beer company slogan (sort of):
“This 4’s for you!”
