Chet Roberts had just finished his first ever livestream for Fourth Door Media.
The hour-plus long session had a lot of layers.
He shared motional, heartfelt feelings about his buddy Brad Arnold, who passed away not even three months ago.
He discussed his new business ventures, including 4th Door Media, upcoming comedy shows & musical performances, producing with other artists, working with Label 22 in the historic RCA studios, an upcoming documentary on his life called, Unbreakable (season one running now on Amazon Prime), new swag that’s in development, something called a “soundcheck chicken,” and much more.
By his side, off camera, were his business partners, Kevin Harold, as well as Angelique McKinney and yours truly.
Our goal that night?
Have fun.
Tell anyone who cared to subscribe to our YouTube channel, (https://www.youtube.com/@fourthdoormedia) what’s up, what he and his bandmates from 3 Doors Down have been up to, and what’s next.
That’s exactly what he did for a little over an hour.
When we wrapped, there were high fives, hugs, atta-boys, and of course a celebratory sip of a little something special between each of us.
Then we headed out back, fired up the pit, and just kicked back for a while.
We talked about the livestream, the awesome fans who participated (he later saw all the chats), and then we talked business.
We have shows to plan.
Venues to partner with (and man do we have one potential unreal hook up we hope to share soon), work to do with bands who are interested in partnering with Fourth Door, and on and on.
The list, quite honestly, is overwhelming.
It’s also so exciting we can barely sleep at night.
At one point, we were all talking about how Fourth Door has to be different, how we have to give every client a five-star experience, really listen, make them feel at home, and go the extra mile, even if that means nights and weekends.
We simply want to make any band or artist successful in a way that exceeds their wildest expectations.
Chet knows a little something about that.
No wild promises, just hard work and giving every client our best shot.
We gushed about a few bands we’re about to start working with.
Each is unique and their potential is off the charts.
But it was our company culture that really stood out to all of us at one point as the fire kept crackling.
Kevin said out loud, “I wonder if our clients really know how genuine we are in wanting to help them. If only they could hear us talk out here right now?”
Nobody was there but us.
But it didn’t matter.
We all talk the same way about our company culture behind the scenes as we do on social media, or with any investor or artist wondering if we’re the right fit.
That was the highlight of the night for me.
Well, it was for a minute.
When Chet took us to his home studio and started jammin’ to some of the music he’s helped produce, and then showed us all his memorabilia from his days on the road with 3 Doors Down, well, that was the icing on the cake.
Then we enjoyed some Red Baron refrigerator Pizza, a cold brew, and called it a night.
That was the end of a very long but extraordinarily fulfilling day.
If this is work, I’m asking for overtime.
No extra compensation needed.
